New Way's award winning service is complimented by our innovative Water Management Program, which directly translates to substantial reduction in water usage and monthly costs. New Way's Water Management Department is next to none. There are very few landscape companies that have a separate water management department. | |
* A Dedicated Water Management Department * New Way is one of the few landscape companies that does not leave the the responsibility of irrigation programming to the regular onsite personnel. Under the supervision of our irrigation experts, all irrigation repairs and watering schedules are conducted by the Water Management Department who ensures that irrigation parts and technicians are readily available to keep the irrigation systems efficient. This results in better attention to irrigation detail. |
* Irrigation Surveys On All Sites * A complete irrigation analysis is performed on all newly maintained sites/projects and the following is obtained: a) Coverage maps are produced in order to accurately locate each valve and what areas it waters, b) Data is collected in order to calculate base watering schedules and water budgets using technical formats developed by Cal Poly and the State of California Department of Water Resources. |
* Weekly Water Use Monitoring * On all separately metered sites, water meters are read each Monday and compared to the weekly water budget. This greatly reduces the chance of a surprise water bill. This method can also be used to keep water usage at a level that avoids water district penalties or to fit a specified dollar amount. |
* Regular Watering Schedule Adjustments * New Way is constantly checking the schedules to make sure that the landscape is receiving the proper amount of water to ensure healthy plants. Soil probes and weather information are just some of the tools used to monitor soil moisture and make correct adjustments. |
* Cost Effective Irrigation Upgrade Recommendations * We have the expertise to evaluate your irrigation system and make cost effective suggestions to keep it at peak efficiency and avoid overwatering problems. |
